Prince Edward Island Industry
Agriculture is the largest industry in PEI. Roughly thirty percent of Canada's potatoes
are grown in this Province, other crops include; apples, strawberries, blueberries,
carrots, onions, tomatoes and cereal crops.
The second largest industry on the island is tourism, followed by fishing.
Aerospace is now Prince Edward Island's fourth largest industry and it accounts for
25
per cent of international exports. Businesses that have established themselves
here are;
Honeywell Engines, Systems and Services, Atlantic Turbines International, Inc.,
Wiebel Aerospace, Testori Americas Corp., MDS-PRAD Technologies, Tronos Canada Inc.
and Tube-Fab Ltd.
